SARAH ALICE BURNS
Sarah Alice Burns is a professional dancer, model and artist development coach born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. After several years of working overseas as a dancer for Disney, DC Comics and Carnival Cruise Lines internationally, Sarah decided to take a leap of faith and move to the 'City of Angels'. After several setbacks and countless no's, she soon became accustomed to understanding that the LA dance industry was not for the faint of heart.
Sarah's fierce determination for success and extreme passion for her craft drove her to exceed all expectations landing her first job in the LA dance industry as a backup dancer for Usher at the 2010 American Music Awards. From there, her success skyrocketed and in 2012 she landed her first Beyoncé gig as one of her principal backup dancers.
PROFESSIONAL DANCER
Sarah worked alongside world renowned superstar Beyoncé for four continuous years. Her consistency, high level of performance quality and sheer talent were rewarded with ongoing work. Sarah performed with Beyoncé at the infamous Super Bowl, various award shows, feature films, multiple world tours, music videos and the worldwide IVY PARK campaign.
Sarah has proved herself as a formidable dancer by working with musical icons: Brandy, Jay-Z, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Janelle Monáe, Kelly Rowland, Usher, Ne-Yo, Hailee Steinfeld, Gwen Stefani, Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Janes Addiction and many more.
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
Sarah’s professional experience combined with her ability to create and refine artists as they develop, have proven to be very valuable. Sarah has coached several contestants for American Idol and The Voice auditions and callbacks.
She works closely with artists to help them recognize their skills and talents as well as increasing their confidence and building their overall stage presence.
Sarah developed a specific method that leads artists towards conquering the industry. Sarah begins with the basics, from how to hold and perform with a microphone, to improving their overall movement quality and artistic presence. Sarah improves their ability to pick up choreography, how to work with backup dancers and how to interact with an audience
Sarah can help artists build a set for their show / tour, rehearse and run the show from start to finish, work on their performance stamina and figure out a script to ensure their audience is entertained and their performance is seamless.
